Chapter 1
Outside
Dawnkit peeked her head outside of the nursery. It was big. Warriors were working hard outside. They were eating, working, surviving. She couldn't wait to do those things.
"Do you wish to go out?" Squirrelfur, her mother asked. Dawnkit nodded eagerly and placed her paw out of the entrance. She looked up at the sky. It was sunset. Nightfall was upon them.
"C-can you come with m-me?" Dawnkit asked. Squirrelfur nodded and padded outside. She flicked her tail to the entrance. Dawnkit followed.
"I'll let you take four steps outside of camp. But only four steps. The tiny grey kit nodded and took five steps outside. She smiled and scampered around her mother in circles. Squirrelfur laughed.
"I wanna be a warrior!" Dawnkit mewed.
"You have to be six moons old to be a warrior." Squirrelfur mewed. Dawnkit frowned and sat down by her mother.
"Each star in the sky represents one of our ancestors." The ginger queen purred. "Once I die, once you die, you get to pick a star of your very own. It can represent you and the incredible life you lived."
"Do you think I'll live an incredible life?" Dawnkit asked.
"You will."
Chapter 2
Loneliness
Sunkit & Dawnkit were curled up against Squirrelfur. While Squirrelfur had her paw wrapped around the two. Dawnkit wriggled out of her mother's paw. She watched them sleep for a moment, then left the nursery.
It was odd to Dawnkit that so many queens were there. Moonstar, Littlebrook, Squirrelfur. So many. There were at least ten cats in there. It was extremely crowded. "Thank StarClan Moonstar and Littlebrook's kits are still small." She thought.
Dawnkit looked around the leafy forest. She saw a black path and followed it. It was oftly hard on her pads but Dawnkit knew it was an adventure. Adventures sometimes required sacrifice.
When she arrived at a huge lot of twoleg nests. She guessed it was twolegplace. Her mother told her about her getting lost in twolegplace. Then her father saved her. She wished to be loved that much one day.
Moans covered the streets. It was dark and gloomy. It was awful. "H-hello?" The kit asked. A shape appeared. It loooked like a dog-fox thing. Nothing she had seen before.
"What do you want?" The creature asked.
"Why are you making so much noise?"
"No reason."
"What is your name?"
"Loneliness."
"Why are you here?"
"To kill my master."
"K-k-kill?" Dawnkit stammered.
"Exactly, now go away." Dawnkit watched the creature pad off. She watched in awe for a moment at it's strangeness. Then she followed it.
She screeched in terror as she watched the creature kill a twoleg. "MOMMY!" She squeaked. "SQUIRRELFUR!" She yowled again.
"You followed me." Loneliness looked angry.
Dawnkit realized she was trembling. She quickly darted off.
Suddenly something picked her up. It was Squirrelfur. "What in StarClan's name are you doing here?" The ginger queen asked.
"Loneliness killed her master! I wanna go home! I wanna go home!" The grey she-kit wailed as the two headed towards the camp.
This chapter will be LONG. I will write more parts later.
Chapter 3
Playing With The Foxes
Dawnkit looked out of the nursery entrance. Her apprentice ceremony was today. Even though she hated her brother she wished he could be with her. He may have been a complete mouse-brain but it was her brother. Ripplelake had told her siblings fought. She assumed that was what it was.
"Fox!" Squirrelfur screeched. Her voice echoed through the nursery. Dawnkit saw it. It was snapping its mighty jaws at her. She smiled. In the kit's mind, it was Loneliness.
"Loneliness!" She squeaked, scampering towards it. Squirrelfur and Sunkit stood in horror as they watched. Neither could do anything to help her. All they could do was watch.
"Dawnkit!" Moonstar yowled. Dawnkit payed no attention to the leader's words. She simply smiled and looked at the fox. The fox looked minorly confused that she just walked up to it.
